CyclistVideoEvidence.com has written legislation to add pedestrian and cyclist safety to the California Driver’s Manual, examination and the reckless driving law.
On 12/7/20 we posted a brief backgrounder for our legislation along with a petition for cyclists to add their names in support of the legislation and their testimonials why they do not feel safe cycling on California roads. These cyclists tend to be the most experienced cyclists. If they do not feel safe then less experienced cyclists will not risk riding on the roads.
We approached several legislators to determine the author for our legislation. Based on well over 110 signatories and 26 powerful testimonies from District 25, we believe Assemblymember Lee would be a strong author for our legislation.
